Code Breakers is a series designed to support older readers who have not yet broken the code of decodable reading. Through carefully selected words and high-interest topics, each books allows older readers the opportunity to practice early phonics sounds in engaging, age-appropriate texts. This set of 10 fiction decodable books follows a classroom of students presenting their science projects. Readers follow Valarie through a crystal cave or Richard chasing a storm with his family while they develop their skills in vowels, prefixes, suffixes, and multi-syllabic words. Includes a note to the caregiver and a word list organized by Focus words.
