Great Plains

In the middle of the North America is gigantic stretch of flatland called the Great Plains. This region is home to numerous species of plants and animals, with grasses being one of the most dominant. It encompasses many regions, geological formations, and landscapes, including the Black Hills of South Dakota, the Missouri Plateau, which extends into Canada, massive swaths of farmland in the midwestern states, and much more. Some areas of the Great Plains have suffered due to the actions of people, such as the Dust Bowl during the 1930s.
