Mythical Realms of the Norse Universe

The Norse, also known as the Vikings, believed that the entire universe was contained within the trunk, branches, and roots of a gigantic tree. This massive object featured numerous continent-sized regions called realms. The gods had a realm of their own, as did humans, giants, dwarfs, and other beings who dwelled in the so-called World Tree.
