Gods and Goddesses of Norse Mythology

The Norse, or Vikings, worshiped a pantheon of diverse, at times captivating, divine beings, collectively called the Aesir. These include the leader, Odin; his son Thor, who wielded a hammer that could crush a mountain peak; the love goddess Freya, who drove a chariot pulled by two big cats; and the two-faced Loki, deity of deceit, who could magically transform himself into any person or other living thing.
