Nilay Rao is hiding his avatar, Vyper Neo, at his home, but the little orange character is creating all kinds of havoc--and his dad still doesn't know!
He is only concerned about Nilay's falling grades. Nilay's only solace is playing video games with his best friend, Chess. The two struggle to beat a game and think maybe Vyper is the answer. Suddenly, they open a whole world of ghosts.
Nilay Rao is learning more about the mysterious device and his new avatar, Vyper Neo. As they work together to solve the mystery, they end up summoning monsters and falling into serious danger.
On the fly, they must test out the ability cards, Vyper's powers, and Nilay's own power. There's a ghost attack, a boar-rager chimera summoned from a game, and on top of it all, a power outage. Can Nilar, Vyper, and Chess defeat the ghost before his dad comes home?
