The Creation of the U.S. Space Force

The U.S. Space Force is the newest branch of the United States military. Founded in 2019, the Space Force doesn't yet have a long history as a separate part of the service, but many of its members have served in the U.S. military for decades. Most Space Force guardians are former members of the U.S. Air Force, the military branch that formerly oversaw matters relating to Earth's interests in space. Today, the Space Force protects those interests.
