Insights into the architect’s thinking, the math involved in creating the plans; hidden symbols in the designs; and information on cleaning, maintaining, and preserving the landmarks are among the topics included. Providing just the right balance of images, facts, and sidebars to intrigue the young architect or engineer, I foresee reading one title in the series will springboard readers into the rest. All titles include sidebars offering different perspectives; prompts and activities for writing, reading, analysis, and critical thinking; and nicely labeled diagrams. This series also focuses on primary sources and offers ancillary online resources. Great for any STEM focus as each book addresses math, science, and engineering aspects. Recommended.
