A noteworthy review of My Day Readers from School Library Journal on November 1, 2017
The average preschooler’s learning day incorporates a vast amount of basic information, such as healthy eating, being a good friend, bus and fire safety, and more. This series introduces some of these conversations to young learners by using a brief word count, color photographs that offer visual cues, and definitions that are clear and easy to understand. A simple narrative guides readers through the topic experience while also imparting valuable lessons that tots can incorporate into their own routines. For example, in Pearls New Tooth, a new tooth sets off a discussion on brushing and flossing teeth, visiting the dentist, and how to avoid cavities.
