Book Review: It’s hard to find a child who isn’t curious about dinosaurs, and the Los dinosaurios (6 titles) brings them the facts in easy-to-read Spanish. The stegosaurus stars in this entry, which is filled with bold colors, digital illustrations, and large-scale infographics that won’t overwhelm young learners with too much information. The book is sectioned into three chapters that discuss the stegosaurus’ features, diet, and behavior, and a two-page world map shows where this dino’s fossils have been found. Important vocabulary is bolded, with the definition included on the page in a text box. Fact bubbles and a final “Información extra” spread add to the fun. A wonderful addition to the classroom library that is appropriate for both native Spanish speakers and those learning Spanish as a second language.
