Series Review: Grades 2-4 . This series presents the wonder of the human body through coverage of the body’s major systems, organs, and bodily functions. Each book cover features a skeletal bobble-headed figure that is sure to attract attention. The books have good nonfiction text features, including clear headings, labeled pictures and diagrams, infographics, bolded words with a glossary in the back, a table of contents, additional resources, and an index. The pages are lively, with vibrant and eye-catching text and graphics. Some of the books include gross facts that readers will find interesting. These solid, accessible books would be good for supplementing science curriculum and for inspiring readers. The clear, concise text would also make these titles good as read-alouds.
