Full-color photographs, except in Dinosaurs Around the World in which the illustrations are full-color artworks set into a background photograph, are numerous in these books. Each two-page spread is devoted to one animal with a brief text box of general information, an inset map location of where the animal lives, insets of characteristics unique to that animal, a “Did you know?” text box and a facts text box. Each book averages 12 different animals, so it is a broad overview of the topic and will work well for browsing with younger students.
