The author provides information about the Belgian’s ability to pull, since they have great strength. With this great strength, Belgians dominate horse-pulling competitions. Several famous Belgian horses are presented to readers. The author includes color photographs from re-enactments, interesting gladiator facts, easy-to-read text, a glossary of terms, recommended books and websites, and an index.

Series Comments: Each title in this series features a specific horse breed and fourteen titles have been published as of this review. Each title includes characteristics and history of the breed. Recommendations: Would make a nice addition to a library’s collection for casual reading.
