NSTA Recommends

This book does a wonderful job of taking the reader from looking inside these machines to the missions they accomplished. Each page is full of interesting facts that leave the reader with a sense of wonder and awe. Cutaway illustrations take the reader through an informational journey examining the machines that took people into space. The illustrations are a mix of real photos and drawings with captions explaining them. I can see this book fitting in with grades 3-5 in connection to the Engineering Design Standards of NGSS. – National Science Teachers Association
