This well-illustrated series covers certain biomes and other aspects of our world in a simple, concise, but limited manner. Not all biomes are discussed, unrelated topics are presented, and the illustrations are not a substitute for the type of vivid photography that is now available in many reference books. The series leaves gaps in the information and is unlikely to captivate the interest of students who have access to books or online content with high quality photographs.
